What do you know about identity theft?
I’m not talking about the kind of identity theft that leaves an unfortunate victim feeling violated because their name and social identifications have been used to acquire credit lines and purchase things that they didn’t approve and will never enjoy.
Both are awful forms of identity theft, but there’s an identity theft that’s far worse.
The identity theft I’m referring to is the stolen ability to be confident and believe in ourselves.
I’m talking about the identity theft most of us suffered at the hands of a classmate, teacher, leader, parent, peer, sibling, etc.
I’m talking about that time when we were told we weren’t good enough.
I’m talking about that moment when you stopped believing that you are special and unique.
I’m talking about that incident that made you question your individual significance and if you could ever be great.
I’m talking about the situation that disconnected you from your personal greatness.
I’m talking about every moment and every day you live disconnected from your purpose.
This is the worse kind of identity theft, because it can disrupt a life for a lifetime!
As children most of us believed we could accomplish anything.
One day we wanted to be a fire fighter and the next day we wanted to be an astronaut.
Back then what people thought didn’t matter!
We loved to dream…
Life was full of possibility.
We were whatever superhero we wanted to be…
We were connected to our greatness.
Until…our identity was stolen!
Our identity was captured in phrases like:
– You can’t!
– Your not ______ enough.
– You won’t ever!
– You’re weird!
The truth is:
– You can!
– You are more than enough because you breathe.
– You will!
– You are special and unique!
Reclaim your identity!
Don’t let identity theft steal the purpose from your life!
Find your purpose…
Identify your purpose…
Live your purpose and be great!
Let me know how I can help.
There is nothing more important in this life than knowing exactly why you exist and living in that purpose.
Live on purpose and stay inspired, it’s a lifestyle choice!
