When was your last PIT STOP?

According to an article published in Fortune magazine, only half of you used all of your allotted vacation days last year.

…and to be clear, I’m talking PAID TIME OFF.

As someone who has dedicated himself to self-development and empowering other human-beings that breaks my heart.

Here’s why…

Time away from your work really serves as a pit stop.

Think of the Indianapolis 500 where cars race around a track counterclockwise 200 times at speeds of 230 mph.

What do you think would happen to these cars if they didn’t make their scheduled pit stops?

In reality, none of them would finish the race, because they failed to refuel.
…but let’s make this analogy a bit more interesting and pretend they don’t run out of gas.

What would happen then?

Likely…a bunch of deadly crashes due to poor performing tires and fatigued drivers.

Yep…those pit stops are for the drivers too.

So what about you?

Are you a part of the 50% that finds themselves to busy with work to take a vacation?

How many more laps (days) will it be before you run out of gas or crash from fatigue?

A few weeks ago, I shared an email titled, “Uh oh…I caught the death flu!”
What I didn’t share, is that for the first time in over a decade, I had failed to take my fourth quarter pit stop.

Thus, the crash! I caught the flu.
(Which I haven’t had in over a decade.)

Get my point?

With 2018 still off to a fresh start, strongly consider scheduling your pit stops throughout the year.

There’s already enough resistance pushing against your resolve to Slay Your Goals!

Please don’t let running out of gas or a crash; due to not taking a pit stop, be the reason you don’t accomplish your goals!

Thoughtfully written from my current pit stop. A beach in Cancun.

Be GREAT!
…and stay inspired; it’s a lifestyle choice!
